Fiscal Year 2026 Presidential Budget Request

Our nation's federal appropriations process begins every year with the President of the United States sending a budget request to Congress. This budget request is a proposal only, and does not automatically become law once published because Congress is the only branch of the federal government with the power to appropriate funds.
